Port Handling

The Humberside office is our national marine operations centre, responsible for port and vessel operations where contracted by it's liner service carrier.

Operating throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland and also responsible for all inducement/spot calls, spot chartering and coaster requirements. These services are available to bulk, breakbulk, specialist and heavy lift vessel owners, shippers and international freight forwarders.

Ships Agency/Husbandry

Kestrel's ships agency teams located in our marine division operate in multiple countries, representing numerous liner and tramp vessel operators, as well providing charterers and protective agency services.

Offering a full range of marine, vessel, crew change, ships spares and associated vessel services. Also being Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers members, Kestrel hold the FONASBA Quality Award as well as being accredited Trinity House Light Dues Collectors.

Kestrel's port handling teams can demonstrate many years' experience in all aspects of cargo handling.

From containers, breakbulk and heavy machinery to large project cargo management, Kestrel offers a 'one stop shop' for every port handling requirement.

As part of Kestrel's cargo handling and project management services, cargo inspection is an important part of our role.

From basic cargo inspections by our own in-house teams – to arranging marine warranty surveys, cargo lash, securing reports and similar, Kestrel can ensure your cargo is always covered and protected.

Members of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Kestrel provides a full range of brokering services to cargo owners, freight forwarders, lines and project managers alike.

Kestrel's in-house specialists have for many years provided vessel owners, operators, cargo owners, project managers and developers with specialist consultancy services for the feasibility of certain operations.

From researching port options, feasibility of beach or shallow draft landings, to full scale project cargo movement solutions in difficult to access locations. Kestrel's team have regularly demonstrated solutions are possible to some of the most challenging navigation and cargo handling situations.

From arranging route surveys/abnormal load road movements to heavy-lift port and shipping solutions, the Kestrel team demonstrate a significant track record in the planning and execution of all types of out of gauge and heavy-lift movements.

With many years 'hands on' experience and training with the use of SPMT and modular trailers, crane selection, planning and hire for loading/unloading, it's a 'one stop shop' for all your requirements.

From OEM's and project developers, third party project managers, to freight forwarders and other intermediaries, Kestrel can provide a full turnkey project cargo management service.

Starting at project logistics concept, through budgeting and scheduling to shipping, intermediate port operations, dispatch and final delivery, Kestrel are with you all the way.
